The International Puppet Festival of Kalamata is an initiative of the Experimental Stage of Kalamata in collaboration with the Municipality of Kalamata and is organized every year in May. Every year it hosts special puppet shows by important Greek companies, as well as artists who are active abroad. Special emphasis is also given to the educational part with workshops for the manufacture and animation of puppets for adults and children, as well as a number of outdoor games and events.
