The 8th Flower Show of Kalamata started for another year on Saturday 11 of May 2019 and will be open to the public until Sunday 19 of May in the green and full of spring smells Municipal Railways Park.
The distinct outdoor area of the Municipal Railroad Park has been filled with ornamental plants, fruit trees, seedlings, flower pots, plant seeds and everything that will be needed from an amateur or professional gardener.
This year, the beekeeping plants are at the center of the interest, as the risks from the reduction of the beehives have been particularly important to the scientific community. In the framework of this year's Flower Show there are events such as musical performances by the Municipal Conservatoires, lectures, experiential and visual workshops. The programs are designed to raise awareness of flowers, composting organic waste, beekeeping and, in general, the environment in which we live.
Entrance to the exhibition is free and opening hours are from 9:00 to 14:00 and from 18:00 until 23:00.
